NDA After 12th

NDA is conducted to recruit qualified candidates as officers in the Indian Navy, Indian Army, and Indian Air-force.

CDS/AFCAT Foundation after 12th

Candidates who want to serve for a short period of time can appear for the CDS exam and get into OTA by selecting the Officers' Training Academy Course.

CDS / AFCAT after graduation

AFCAT is led by the Indian Air Force. The test is held every year in February & August, solely, to pick up Class-I Officers in Flying & Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical).

MNS after 12th

The examination is specially organized to select female candidates from BSc. Nursing. B.Sc Nursing graduates can join the Military Nursing Service (MNS) depending on the available vacancies.

SSB

SSB Interviews are conducted by the SSB Board, Ministry of Defence. Those who clear the first stage (Either CDS or NDA) have to undergo SSB interviews, spread over a period of 5 days.

Major Lalit Kumar Singh (Retd), MTech (Mechanical/Armament) is presently the Director of Uttarakhand Defence Academy, Dehradun. He is an alumnus of the Indian Military Academy, commissioned into the Corps Of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. He is a retired Army officer with vast and distinguished career experience of around 21 years where he held various active roles from being an instructor at an army training centre to that of an Officer Commanding of Army Air Defence Regiment and Artillery Brigade.
