The Indian Military Nursing Service (MNS) examination is specially conducted to select female candidates from B.Sc. Nursing background for prestigious roles in the Armed Forces Medical Services. Eligible B.Sc. Nursing graduates can join the Military Nursing Service (MNS) based on available vacancies announced by the Indian Army.
Selected candidates are commissioned as Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Nursing Officers or Permanent Service Commissioned (PSC) Nursing Officers, offering a respectable career with excellent growth opportunities, salary, and benefits.

MNS Eligibility Criteria
B.Sc Nursing candidates should have completed their graduation in the first attempt only.
Military Nursing Service is open for female candidates only.
Applicant should be an Indian citizen.
Applicants should be medically and physically fit as per Military standards.
Candidates must fulfill age and educational criteria as prescribed in the official notification.
Final selection is subject to medical examination clearance.
Candidates applying for the posts of Military Nursing Service need to go through the below selection procedure:
- Written Examination

MNS Age Limit
- For Military Nursing Service (SSC for trained nurses), candidates must be between 21 and 35 years of age on the last date of application.
- This typically means applicants should be born between 25 December 1989 and 26 December 2003 (both days inclusive) for SSC eligibility.
